German-Polish Museum Dialogue 2021
Polish and German museum experts meet rarely and do not have proper platforms for exchange of ideas, solutions and for establishing projects. Although the countries are neighbours and share common history, the collaboration in the museum field is yet to be developed. On that account, the Polish National Institute for Museums and Public Collections and the German Museums Association invite museum experts from both countries to participate in a cultural and knowledge-based exchange in the form of 4 online workshops and a two-day session in September 2021, in order to work together on collaboration project drafts.
The purpose of the meetings is to deepen and exchange knowledge in important areas for the relationship between museums and their audiences. Between December 2020 and September 2021 a virtual exchange of experiences and a collaboration of museum professionals from various institutions will constitute the basis for the development of their own museum projects in Polish-German teams. The results of the collaboration will be presented to other participants of the program at a two-day meeting in September 2021.
The Polish-German project is a proposal for people who carry out activities in various fields of activity of museums.
The main topic of the collaboration is the subject of audience development. The individual meetings will consist of:
- getting to know each other and the landscapes of Polish and German museums,
- taking a closer look at a few selected issues that have a significant impact on changes in museums, including museum education and the COVID-19 pandemic,
- developing in groups a project concept relevant to audience development in the field of museum work.
The four thematic workshops will be conducted in English on the Internet platform provided by the organizing institutions. The program will be open to 15 participants from Poland and 15 participants from Germany. The two-day session at the end of the project will find place live or online, depending on the pandemic situation.
Museum professionals from Polish and German institutions, participating in the program, will establish new relationships, collaborations and discussion topics. Inspired by the theoretical parts of the workshops, the participants will come up with specific design solutions that can be implemented in their own institutions.

UWAGA! Wymagane dokumenty (short statement of interest, personal presentation, idea for a German-Polish project on the subject of audience development) powinny zawierać do 500 znaków.
Wymagania techniczne:
Ze względu na interaktywną formę projektu online oraz seminariów rekomendujemy następujące rozwiązania techniczne:
- Przeglądarka Firefox lub Chrome (w aktualnej wersji).
- Stabilne i wydajne łącze internetowe, zalecamy nie wykorzystywanie Internetu mobilnego.
- Komputer wyprodukowany nie później niż 3 lata wstecz z procesorem minimum i5 lub równoważnym, wyposażony w mikrofon i kamerę.
- Ewentualnie zestaw słuchawkowy z mikrofonem, na wypadek pogłosu.
